Marit has been there from the beginning, helping with the concerns the residents have had in regards to Metrolinx and the construction of the bridge over the Davenport Diamond in Davenport. Her office along with residents that live next to the tracks were integral in getting the late night construction stopped at 11 from 1 am.

We need Marit here for AT LEAST four more years.

I first worked with Marit when we were organizing for the removal of the SRO program at the TDSB and as a school board trustee she supported community demands in a time when there wasn't much political support for abolition work. Since then, Marit has continually shown up for community - she makes time to meet with community and takes action to protect the folks in our neighbourhood who are made most vulnerable by inequitable and cruel government policies & inaction.
